Privacy Policy — PDFPilot & PrintPilot

Effective: July 31, 2026

The short version

We collect nothing. No accounts, no analytics services, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no server. Your documents, scans, and usage never leave your device.

Documents and scans

PDFs you open and pages you scan are processed entirely on your device. Optical character recognition (searchable PDFs) and smart file naming run using Apple's on-device frameworks. Files are stored where you save them and are never uploaded by the app.

Camera

The camera is used only to scan paper documents into PDFs, only while the scanner screen is open. Images go to your document — nowhere else.

Printing

Print jobs travel directly from your device to your printer over your local network (AirPrint/IPP). The app may query your printer for job status to show live progress; that conversation stays on your network.

Usage counters

The app keeps simple counters (for example, how many print jobs completed) in a local file on your device to power its own features. They contain no personal information and no identifiers, are never transmitted, and you can view, export, or reset them anytime in Settings → Usage counters.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details.
